Happy Fathers Day
Today was a day filled with family and burgers!!!! A perfect opportunity to do a family shoot for, well, family! Couldn’t wait to get them up. Aren’t they the cutest EVER!!!!!
Emily & Corey | Married
Emily and Corey were married on June 13th at the University of Maryland Chapel in College Park , MD. Celebrating there reception at the China Garden in Rosslyn, VA. What a pleasure it was to photograph this wedding. As you can see Emily is absolutely stunning. But lets not forget Corey the groom! We had some great laughs and planned more then enough time to walk around and spend some time alone photographing them for the first time as husband and wife. Obviously I had a hard time narrowing it down to my favorites. I love them all! Thank you both so much for having me. I had an absolute ball! Congrats!

Lauren and Julian | Married
Saturday, May 24th I had the pleasure of photographing Lauren and Julian wedding in Falls Church, Virginia! The day stated at her parents home in Fairfax Virginia. She is a sister of 4 other sisters! A house full of women and dad. My morning started with dad coming in after his morning run limping from twisting his ankle. I was worried that he wasn’t going to be able to dance the night away. But it didn’t stop him. Laruen arrived from getting her hair done. She was just radiant! She had not seen the flowers yet so it was fun to see her excitement over them.
Picture this, 5 girls, two at times sitting on the tub eating Mc. Donald’s, mom and I all crammed into a bathroom jamming it out to Brianna! All while trying to put makeup. To say the least, there was a lot of laughter in this home. As we were stepping out to head to the church I thought I would grace everyone with a little good luck by sliding, not falling, down the driveway. Sadly through the night I had a few more moments of good luck offerings.
The ceremony took place at St Mary’s Orthodox Church. Absolutely one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have seen. The church was stunning but still nothing in comparison to Lauren. After the ceremony we went to the Air Force Memorial in Arlington to have some fun! Absolute blast!!!! The images speak for them self! Love!!!!!

A Day of Children Sessions!
Last Saturday I had a fantastic time photographing 9 amazing families in Gaithersburg, Maryland for CKPS On-Location. The day went as smooth as butter! Flawless! And no, I did not tranquilize any children…. They were all perfectly playful! I had a blast getting to be a kid for the day. The weather was great, every child came fed and happy! Here are a few of my little ones from the day. Much more to come!

I have been dying to share Ran and Krishna’s wedding that I shot at the Collingwood Libray & Museum in Alexandrea, Virginia! They are such a sweet couple. Would you believe her dad made her dress! Ya, I am going to have to keep him in mind for when I need a dress for this or that. Everyone was absolutely great. I loved the wedding party! Felt like I had made new friends by time I left and I’m pretty sure the party did not end after I left….
I truly had a blast getting to know everyone and experiencing your day along side you. You two are absolutely beautiful people surrounded by the greatest friends and family. Yes, I get sappy through my weddings. But hey, that’s why I love to do what I do.

Happy Mothers Day Mom!
Writing this entry is not an easy one for me. In fact, I have wrote and rewrote what I wanted to say. The truth is, there are no words that can stand up to this day for me. As you all know I lost my mother 3 months ago. So this day will be a day unlike any other I have ever had.
Earlier in the week I asked my friends and family if they would take a moment and and think about some of the things I have, say, or do that are of my mother. Everyone said the same thing, I am my mother…. I have been told this my whole life but never took the time to appreciate it .
In honer of my mom for Mothers Day I am spending the weekend in AZ. It is a very special place for me. The last time I spoke to my mom I had just got back from AZ. She loved AZ! She went on and on about it in that brief conversation. If you know anything bout my mother you know she loved to travel to warm places and had a heart for charity. We were brought up to serve in the community and help those less fortunate then us. I can recall many conversations my mother and I had sitting out side in the warm breeze talking about dreams of making the world just a bit better. I didn’t want to spend the weekend at home sad so I decided to take up a friends offer and fly out to AZ for a weekend of photographing at a women’s shelter. Both humbling and fulfilling. If I could live and pay the bills photographing such moments only I would! It was great to see the families smile and even tear up from what we were able to give. One father hit home with me. His little girl was not excited about getting her picture taken and he kindly told her that they needed to because you never know. 10 years from now she would want that image if he wasn’t around. That is why I was there!
We all need to stop and think like that more often then we do… So love your mothers like there is no tomorrow. I know I am….

They were so goofy together. He could always make her laugh. So hard she would snort. Then we would all be laughing at her! Every time!
Ya, we are a goofy family. Clearly we like to hug anything and everything. You notice Justin is hugging the bullet and mom is hugging him. That's love!
